Victorian Tiles and Medieval Stone Conservation

We’ve been lucky enough to have undertaken some lovely projects recently. From the conservation of a medieval stone door entrance, with pointing and repairs in lime mortar to the relaying of a Victorian floor tile scheme and another project sensitively cleaning a Victorian tile floor.

What’s nice about these projects is that they all have had a similar rich red orange ochre colour of the clays and sandstone, very satisfying and warming to look at and just amazing the materials.
